Throughout her campaign, Senator Collins, known as a moderate Republican who has occasionally diverged from President Donald Trump's stances, has attracted considerable attention from both sides of the political spectrum.

This summer, she was commended for casting her 10,000th consecutive Senate vote. However, she has also drawn criticism from both Republican and Democratic factions. Collins has publicly criticized Trump's tariff policies directed at Canada and has dissented on certain high-profile administration appointments.
