United States Offers $20 Million Reward for Intelligence on Iranian Nuclear Activities

The United States government has announced a substantial reward of up to $20 million for individuals who provide actionable intelligence pertaining to Iran's nuclear program.

This incentive, publicized by the U.S. Department of State’s Rewards for Justice initiative, was shared through an announcement on X.

The State Department specified its interest in obtaining details about "nuclear scientists and staff, nuclear program-related technologies, and capabilities, associated organizations and personnel."

The program's message urged potential informants to submit information securely via Signal or a Tor-based tip line, highlighting the possibility of a reward and relocation for eligible individuals. The agency underscored its unwavering commitment, stating, "The U.S. government remains committed to countering any attempt by Iran to develop a nuclear weapons program."

Presidential Deliberations on Iran

This development unfolds as President Donald Trump reportedly assesses the possibility of reinitiating military operations against Iran, even as diplomatic discussions concerning the nation's nuclear ambitions persist between Washington and Tehran.

President Trump reiterated his firm stance on Friday, asserting that Iran would never be allowed to acquire a nuclear weapon. He referenced prior U.S. military interventions that targeted Iranian nuclear facilities.

Potential for Renewed Military Action

On Thursday, the President convened with his national security advisory team to deliberate on a potential resumption of military strikes against Iran. This consideration follows an earlier pledge by Trump to defer such actions until after the midterm elections.

Speaking to journalists in the Oval Office earlier on Thursday, President Trump indicated that Washington was poised to "make a decision" regarding the continuation of military engagement.

He posed a rhetorical question about the extent of further strikes required to ensure Iran's nuclear program is permanently dismantled and that such a threat "will never happen again?" he added.

Trump also commented on the broader implications, stating:

"I would rather not destroy the rest of the country if possible, but maybe I will have to. You'll know soon enough."

According to reports from a U.S. official, U.S. Central Command is in the final stages of preparing for a potential recommencement of significant operations in Iran, though it has yet to receive a new directive from the capital.
